First graders at Black Mountain Primary have been exploring some of the wonderful businesses in downtown Black Mountain. Students and staff were able to walk a short distance from the school to the Black Mountain Library. From there they were told wonderful stories by the library staff.
“The ability to walk to local businesses in our little community is such a blessing,” said Principal Kelly Owen. “The tight knit community of Black Mountain is very supportive of our school, and we hope that these students know how special it is to live in Black Mountain. I want all our students to realize how fortunate we are to have an abundance of books at our fingertips both in school and in our community.”
