Beth Anderson I graduated in 1995 from Clemson University with a degree in architecture and worked in that field for many years. But I always regretted not having a career teaching children. I decided to enroll at GA State University in 2007. I took LOTS of education classes and was certified to teach elementary school. I taught the 3rd grade in Georgia before returning to the WNC mountains. I accepted a position as a math tutor at Black Mountain Elementary School in 2011 and then taught in the Title-I reading program for two years at W.D. Williams Elementary. I enrolled at Western Carolina University and completed my Masters degree in education while I was working part-time. I am beginning my fifth year teaching at Black Mountain Primary School. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to teach in the community in which I live. My oldest daughter, Maggie, will be in 12th grade at UNCSA and the younger one, Kate, will be in 8th grade at Owen Middle.  My husband is a practicing architect in Asheville.  We have two dogs, Louise and Buddy.
